Interventions for pregnant youth and young mothers experiencing homelessness: A systematic review of available evidence.
Racha Lakrouf, Laurence Roy, Cécile Arbaud & Christine Stich
This systematic review is underway. Results will identify evidence-based interventions and promising practices from the scientific literature that have the potential to prevent pregnant youth and young mothers from experiencing homelessness and entrenchment, and provide support in exiting homelessness for those experiencing it.
Support interventions for young people in housing programs: A rapid literature review
Christine Stich, Racha Lakrouf, & Juliane Moreau
Interventions for young people who experienced homelessness and are housed through youth-focused housing programs remain relatively new interventions. This rapid review synthesizes current original research studies concerning support interventions intended for youth and young adults between 13 and 35 years of age who experienced homelessness and are housed through youth-focused housing programs published between January 2017 and May 2022. Interventions examined in the reviewed literature included case management, psychosocial and mental health support interventions; social support through peer support, mentorship, and positive social networks; and socioeconomic inclusion through skill building.
Interventions for young people ageing out of the child welfare system: A systematic literature review.
Nathali Gunawardena & Christine Stich
Young people aging out of the child welfare system face significant barriers to their transition into adulthood including issues related to housing, employment, education, and involvement in the criminal justice system. To be able to develop effective, evidence-based interventions that can help support them, we need to understand which aspects of current interventions work, under what conditions and for whom they work. The present systematic review synthesizes available scientific evidence on interventions for youth transitioning out of the child welfare system in high-income countries.
